Fuel Treatment FT-10™
for Gasoline, Diesel and Fuel Oil Systems
A Multipurpose Fuel Additive for Gasoline and Diesel Engines, Fuel Oil Furnaces and Storage Tanks
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ is a concentrated, multipurpose fuel conditioner for gasoline and diesel engines, 2- and 4-cycle equipment, fuel oil furnaces, boilers and fuel storage tanks.
FT-10 cleans and protects fuel-system components, disperses moisture, adds lubricity, controls deposit formation and supports dependable fuel-system performance. In diesel fuel, FT-10 helps control cold-weather waxing and gelling when added before temperatures fall and used according to directions.
What Is Fuel Treatment FT-10™?
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ is a multipurpose gasoline, diesel and fuel oil additive formulated for routine fuel-system maintenance.
Instead of performing only one function, like cleaning injectors or controlling diesel gelling, FT-10 combines fuel-system cleaning, moisture management, additional lubrication and deposit control into one concentrated formula.
FT-10 also contains Muscle Metal Treatment MT-10® boundary-film technology for extra lubrication to upper-cylinder and fuel-system surfaces.
Key Features & Benefits
Cleans the Fuel System
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ cleans and helps control deposits in fuel injectors, carburetors, fuel lines, valves, pumps and other fuel-system components.
Cleaner fuel-delivery components help maintain consistent fuel flow and spray patterns. This results in smoother equipment operation and restores lost performance from fuel-system deposits, which often reduce fuel consumption.
Disperses Moisture in Fuel
Condensation and moisture can collect in vehicle fuel systems, equipment tanks and bulk fuel storage tanks.
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ disperses moisture throughout the fuel so concentrated water droplets are less likely to remain in the system. This protects fuel-system components from moisture-related corrosion, rough operation and cold-weather fuel-line problems.
Lubricates Critical Components
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ contains Metal Treatment MT-10® boundary-film lubrication technology for additional lubricity for fuel pumps, injectors, valves and upper-cylinder surfaces. Extra lubrication reduces wear and extends component life.
This is especially important in fuel-systems that depend on the fuel itself for part of their lubrication, like many two-cycle engines.
Helps Control Deposits
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ dissolves existing gum and resin deposits while inhibiting the formation of new fuel-related deposits. Deposit control helps maintain cleaner:
Fuel injectors
Carburetors
Fuel lines
Fuel pumps
Furnace nozzles
Burner systems
Fuel storage tanks
Supports Cold-Weather Diesel Operation
In diesel fuel, Fuel Treatment FT-10™ helps control waxing and gelling when added before the fuel becomes gelled.
When used according to directions, FT-10 provides cold-weather protection in temperatures as low as –20°F (–29°C).
Actual cold-weather performance can vary depending on fuel composition, fuel source, treatment concentration, storage conditions and ambient temperature. Add FT-10 before temperatures fall. A fuel additive cannot circulate properly through fuel that has already gelled.

Fuel Storage Tanks
Use Fuel Treatment FT-10™ in bulk diesel and fuel-oil storage tanks to help control moisture, deposits, corrosion and fuel-system contamination.
Water can enter a storage tank through contaminated fuel, leaks or condensation caused by temperature changes. Moisture can contribute to rust, restricted filters, poor fuel flow and microbial contamination at the fuel-water interface.
FT-10 disperses moisture and reduces the fuel-system conditions that contribute to these problems.
Application Note: Significant water, sludge or microbial contamination may require tank cleaning, water removal, filter replacement or treatment with an appropriately registered fuel biocide.

Directions for Use by Application
Mix Fuel Treatment FT-10™ well before use. Whenever practical, add FT-10 to the tank before refueling. The incoming fuel will help distribute the product throughout the tank.
Gasoline & Diesel Engines
Initial treatment: Add 2 ounces of FT-10 for every 10 gallons of fuel.
Follow-up treatment: Add 1 ounce of FT-10 for every 10 gallons of fuel at each fill-up.
Cold-weather treatment below 32°F (0°C): Continue using 2 ounces of FT-10 for every 10 gallons of fuel at each fill-up.
2- & 4-Cycle Engines
Add 2 ounces of FT-10 for every 5 gallons of gasoline.
For high-performance engines, increase the treatment rate to 4 ounces for every 5 gallons of gasoline.
For 2-cycle engines, continue adding the oil mixture recommended by the engine manufacturer. FT-10 does not replace 2-cycle oil.
Fuel Oil Furnaces, Boilers & Storage Tanks
Add 2 ounces of FT-10 for every 10 gallons of fuel.
For best mixing, add FT-10 to the tank before the tank is refilled.
What to Expect After Adding FT-10
Fuel Treatment FT-10™ begins working as it circulates through the fuel system during normal vehicle or equipment operation. Because fuel-system condition varies, the full benefits of treatment might not be immediately noticed.
As FT-10 moves through the system, it cleans and controls varnish, gum and other fuel-related deposits in injectors, carburetors, fuel lines and other components. A system with heavier deposits may require more operating time before cleaning progresses and fuel delivery reaches its best condition.
For this reason, evaluate FT-10 over continued operation rather than judging its performance immediately after the first treatment. Some users may notice changes within the first several days, while other engines or equipment may require more operating time and subsequent fuel treatment.
Once the fuel system is cleaner, continued use of FT-10 controls new deposit formation while providing added lubricity, moisture dispersion and corrosion protection.
