Wheel Mounting Compound WM-10™
Wheel Mounting Compound WM-10™ is an extreme-pressure liquid compound formulated specifically for press fitting steel railroad wheels onto axles. It provides consistent lubrication at the wheel-bore and axle-wheel-seat interface to reduce chatter, alignment problems, and friction-related surface damage during mounting. WM-10 is listed as an approved wheel mounting compound in the AAR Manual of Standards and Recommended Practices, Section G, Part II-Wheel and Axle Shop Manual.
