BlueIce IC-10™

Fuel Injector and Carburetor Cleaner

Concentrated fuel-system cleaning additive for gasoline and diesel engines

BlueIce IC-10™ is a concentrated gasoline and diesel fuel-system cleaner designed to remove gums, varnish, carbon deposits, and corrosive buildup from fuel injectors, carburetors, and valves. It also breaks down and disperses water in the fuel and provides lubrication to valves and upper-cylinder components during engine operation.

For periodic cleaning or when fuel-system deposits may be affecting performance, BlueIce IC-10™ is a simple pour-in fuel additive treatment for gasoline- and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

What Does BlueIce IC-10™ Do?

Cleans

Deposits can form throughout a fuel system as fuel ages and as combustion and operating conditions contribute to contamination. Gum, varnish, carbon, and other deposits can interfere with fuel delivery and the operation of injectors, carburetors, and valves.

BlueIce IC-10™ circulates with the fuel to dissolve and remove these deposits while the engine is running. By keeping fuel-system components cleaner, IC-10 aids in proper fuel delivery, efficient combustion, and dependable engine performance, which all contribute to fuel economy.

Disperses Moisture

Water can enter a fuel tank through condensation, storage conditions, handling, or contaminated fuel.  Moisture can be an especially common concern in seasonal or infrequently used vehicles and equipment, where fuel remains in the tank for extended periods.

BlueIce IC-10™ disperses water in the fuel so that the moisture passes through the fuel system with the treated fuel instead of accumulating in the tank.

Ethanol-blended gasoline can also absorb moisture from its surroundings. If enough water accumulates, the gasoline-and-ethanol mixture can eventually separate into distinct layers, known as phase separation. IC-10™ helps disperse normal moisture contamination in fuel. If ethanol-blended gasoline has already undergone phase separation, the contaminated fuel should generally be removed and replaced rather than treated for continued use.

What Does BlueIce IC-10™ Clean?

A clean fuel system helps maintain proper fuel delivery, combustion, and efficient engine performance. Fuel-system deposits interfere with fuel delivery, causing symptoms like rough idle, hesitation, hard starting, or reduced throttle response.  Cleaning the fuel system helps restore normal operation.

Fuel Injectors

Deposits on or around fuel injectors can interfere with proper fuel delivery and spray patterns. BlueIce IC-10™ removes accumulated gum, varnish, carbon, and other deposits from injector components as it travels through the system with the fuel.

Carburetors

Fuel that evaporates or remains in a carburetor can leave behind gum and varnish. BlueIce IC-10™ is added to the fuel tank unlike an aerosol cleaner sprayed directly on the carburetor.  As the treated fuel circulates through the system, IC-10 dissolves gum and varnish in carburetor fuel passages and components during normal engine operation.

Valves and Upper Cylinders

BlueIce IC-10™ removes deposits from valves while providing lubrication to valves and upper-cylinder components. IC-10 contains Muscle Metal Treatment MT-10® technology for improved fuel lubricity.

Recommended Uses

BlueIce IC-10™ can be used in gasoline- and diesel-powered applications including:

  • Cars and trucks

  • Commercial vehicles

  • Agricultural equipment

  • Construction equipment

  • Industrial engines

  • Small engines

  • Diesel-powered equipment

Compatible Fuel

  • Gasoline, including ethanol blends up to E15

  • #1 diesel fuel

  • #2 diesel fuel

  • Ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD)

When Should I Use BlueIce IC-10™?

BlueIce IC-10™ can be used as a periodic fuel-system cleaning treatment for prevention, or when deposits or fuel contamination might be contributing to performance problems. Consider IC-10 if you are experiencing:

  • Rough idling, engine hesitation, or stalling

  • Reduced throttle response

  • Hard starting

  • Injector or carburetor deposits

  • Gum or varnish from aged fuel

  • Suspected moisture contamination in the fuel

  • Preventive fuel-system cleaning

  • IC-10 can also be useful for engines and equipment that have been sitting unused, where old fuel has contributed to gum or varnish formation in the system

Not every engine-performance problem is caused by fuel-system deposits. Mechanical, electrical, ignition, fuel-pressure, sensor, or other problems might require diagnosis and repair.

Directions for Use

Add BlueIce IC-10 to the fuel tank before refueling to help blend the treatment with the fuel during fill up.

Add one 12-ounce bottle to treat 12 to 25 gallons of fuel.

For tanks larger than 25 gallons, use 1 ounce of BlueIce IC-10™ per gallon of fuel.

For periodic fuel-system cleaning as preventive maintenance, use IC-10 every 10,000 to 15,000 miles.

To maintain your fuel system while driving daily, use Muscle Fuel Treatment FT-10 with every fill up.
