Hydraulic System Reliability Improves

As a Maintenance Engineering Technician at an industrial manufacturing facility producing plastic preforms and bottles for the beverage industry, equipment reliability is a major part of my day to day responsibilities. Our facility operates Husky HyPET injection molding machines in a demanding production environment where hydraulic system performance and machine availability are extremely important.

 We have been using [Hydraulic Treatment] HT-10 oil additive in the hydraulic systems of our Husky HyPET machines for approximately eight years, and during that time we have seen great results. Since we began using HT-10, the amount of maintenance required on our hydraulic systems has decreased dramatically. We have experienced fewer hydraulic issues and repairs, which has helped reduce downtime and the amount of time our maintenance team spends troubleshooting and repairing these systems.

What stands out most is the consistency of the results. This is not something we have observed over a few months or a single production cycle. We have nearly eight years of experience using HT-10 in equipment that operates in a demanding industrial environment, and the improvement in hydraulic system reliability has continued throughout that time.

I would also like to recognize Mike Fertig, who has consistently serviced and treated our machines throughout the years. Mike’s knowledge of the product, attention to detail, and understanding of our equipment have been a big part of our experience with HT-10. He has always been dependable and knowledgeable, and his commitment to keeping our machines treated on a consistent schedule has given us confidence that the product is being applied and maintained properly.

From a maintenance perspective, anything that helps us reduce failures, extend component life, and keep our equipment running reliably has real value. HT-10, along with the consistent service and expertise Mike provides, has proven to be a valuable part of our maintenance program. Based on what I have personally seen over the years, I would confidently recommend HT-10 to other manufacturing facilities looking to reduce hydraulic maintenance and improve equipment reliability.
