What is Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™?

Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ is a performance additive for hydraulic oil designed to reduce friction between moving metal surfaces inside hydraulic equipment. By improving lubricity and protecting internal components, HT-10 provides smoother system operation, lower operating temperatures, reduced wear, and improved efficiency.

HT-10 is intended for hydraulic systems where heat, wear, noisy operation, sticking valves, varnish buildup, and internal drag can contribute to reduced performance or premature component failure.

HT-10 is especially useful in demanding hydraulic environments where pumps, valves, cylinders, servo valves, motors, and other internal components operate under high loads, elevated temperatures, or continuous duty cycles.

How HT-10 reduces friction in hydraulic equipment

Hydraulic systems depend on fluid cleanliness, proper lubrication, and stable operation under pressure. When friction increases inside the system, temperatures can rise, wear can accelerate, efficiency can drop, and sensitive components, such as pumps and valves, may not perform as well as they should.

Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ is designed to improve lubricity at the metal surface level resulting in:

  • Smoother movement of internal components

  • Reduced friction and drag

  • Lower heat buildup

  • Reduced wear on pumps, valves and other precision parts

  • Quieter, more stable hydraulic operation

  • Overall improved system efficiency

For maintenance professionals and equipment operators, this means a hydraulic additive formulated to support more reliable operation in both mobile and stationary hydraulic systems.

Recommended Uses

Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ is suitable for mobile and stationary hydraulic equipment used in a wide range of applications.

Agricultural

HT-10 can be used in tractors, combines, sprayers, harvesters, and other hydraulic-driven farm equipment where heat, load, and extended run time can accelerate wear.

Construction

Use HT-10 in excavators, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and other heavy equipment operating under high loads and harsh working conditions.

Industrial Manufacturing

HT-10 is well suited for hydraulic presses, molding machines, production equipment, and plant hydraulic systems where uptime and operating stability matter.

Material Handling

Forklifts, lift systems, hydraulic jacks, hoists, and warehouse equipment may benefit from smoother and more reliable hydraulic performance.

Mining and Forestry

Hydraulic systems in mining and forestry often operate under severe conditions, shock loads, long run times, and contamination risk. HT-10 is designed for demanding environments like these.

Transportation and Mobile Hydraulic Systems

Use HT-10 where system efficiency, heat control, and reliability are important to uptime and operating cost.

Hydraulic components that benefit

Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ can be used in systems containing:

  • Hydraulic pumps

  • Hydraulic motors

  • Servo valves

  • Proportional valves

  • Control valves

  • Cylinders

  • Power units

  • High-pressure hydraulic circuits

Common hydraulic problems HT-10 is designed to help

Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ is often selected when operators or maintenance teams are trying to reduce or eliminate the effects of:

  • Excess friction

  • Elevated fluid temperature

  • Internal wear

  • Noisy hydraulic operation

  • Sluggish valve response

  • Varnish-related sticking

  • Energy loss from internal drag

  • Shortened component life

  • Performance decline under load

This makes HT-10 especially relevant to hydraulic systems that are still serviceable but showing signs of stress, inefficiency, or increased operating severity.

Why maintenance professionals use hydraulic additives like HT-10

Hydraulic systems operate under perssure, heat, and continuous metal-to-metal interaction at internal contact points. In many systems, reducing friction and improving lubricity can help support smoother operation and reduce the stress that contributes to wear, heat buildup, and lost efficiency.

That’s why maintenance professionals often look for a hydraulic oil additive that can help improve lubricity, support metal protection, and reduce the effects of harsh operating conditions without changing component tolerances or interfering with normal hydraulic system performance. Hydraulic Treatment HT-10™ was formulated for exactly this kind of application.

Directions for Use

Recommended treatment ratio: 3% by volume (approximately 1 ounce of HT-10 per quart of hydraulic fluid).

For best results:

  • Add HT-10 to hydraulic reservoir or circulating hydraulic oil

  • Use only clean, serviceable hydraulic oil

  • Introduce during scheduled maintenance or fluid service intervals

  • Circulate the system after addition to ensure thorough mixing

  • Monitor fluid level and do not overfill the reservoir

  • Follow OEM guidelines regarding fluid capacity, viscosity grade, and maintenance procedures
