Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ is a concentrated, multi-functional diesel fuel additive formulated to improve fuel lubricity, increase cetane, clean fuel injectors and protect fuel pumps and injectors from wear.

Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ combines several functions in one concentrated diesel fuel additive to maintain fuel-system performance.

Improves Diesel Fuel Lubricity

Why is diesel fuel lubricity important? The fuel serves as the lubricant for precision components within the fuel system. High-pressure pumps and injectors contain closely fitted metal parts that operate under significant loads and very tight clearances. If fuel lubricity is lacking, increased metal-to-metal contact can contribute to friction, scuffing and wear. Maintaining adequate lubricity helps protect these components and supports fuel system durability.

Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ improves fuel lubricity to reduce friction and wear on treated metal components. DHP-10 contains Muscle Metal Treatment MT-10® for additional lubrication protection.

Boosts Cetane for Improved Diesel Performance

Cetane number is the measure of how readily diesel fuel ignites under compression. In general, a higher cetane number means shorter ignition delay, easier starting, and smoother combustion.

Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ is formulated to increase cetane while also providing fuel system cleaning and lubrication benefits.

Independent laboratory testing showed a 3–6% increase in cetane value using ASTM D613. Because the amount of improvement depends partly on the characteristics of the untreated fuel, results may vary from one fuel supply to another.

Cleans Diesel Fuel Injectors and Helps Control Deposits

Clean fuel injectors are important for the right fuel delivery and spray patterns. Deposits can form as fuel is exposed to heat and pressure and as unstable fuel components, oxidation products, or trace contaminants accumulate within the injector or around the nozzle openings. Modern common-rail injectors are especially sensitive because they operate at high pressures with very tight internal tolerances.

Suitable for Common-Rail and Conventional Diesel Fuel Systems

Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ can be used in modern common-rail diesel fuel systems as well as older conventional diesel injection systems.

Common-rail systems use highly precise, high-pressure fuel delivery components. Maintaining fuel lubricity and injector cleanliness is especially important.

In older diesel engines, DHP-10 helps maintain injector nozzle cleanliness while providing supplemental lubrication throughout the fuel system.

Directions for Use

Shake the container or mix contents well before use.

Add Diesel High Performance DHP-10™ to the fuel tank before refueling. The product will blend easily with the diesel fuel during fill-up.

Recommended Treatment Rate

Add 2 oz. of DHP-10 for every 10 gallons of diesel fuel. For example:

  • 10 gallons of diesel fuel — 2 oz. DHP-10

  • 20 gallons — 4 oz.

  • 30 gallons — 6 oz.

  • 50 gallons — 10 oz.

  • 100 gallons — 20 oz.
